This library was opened in February 2009 in a private home to allow the Japanese children growing up in Switzerland to have access to variety of Japanese books - in the hopes for the the children to learn to enjoy reading in their mother tongue - Japanese.  

     

 

■   MEMBERSHIP FEE

   *The fee collected will be used to maintain and to purchase new books for the library.

Two types of membership:

(1) Annual Member - CHF 36 (no additional fee for borrowing books)

(2) Non-Member - CHF 3 for each book borrowed

*Reduction is provided to annual members when attending the library events.

■   RETURNING BOOKS

When the library is closed, one can return books in the post.  However, please return CD/Cassette/DVD directly when library opened in order to avoid any loss or damages.

 

■   LOST OR DAMAGED BOOKS

If items borrowed from the library are lost or damaged beyond repair, the retail price of the item plus shipping cost of CHF 10 will be charged.  This is cases such as when pages from the books can not be opened due to water spillage or when books are marked with pen or pencils that can not be completely erased.  If items borrowed from the library can still be used, please erase all marks and tape all ripped pages so it could be used by others.

■   OPENING DATES/HOURS

2 days per month
2:30p.m. to 5:00p.m.

In case there is changes to the opening dates or times, notices will be sent to the registered email address.
